Yes, this is "completely idiotic and ridiculous and also awesome", but maybe a little too calculated? As in, yeah, it's kind of retarded, but I can't fully appreciate it, because I know the band is smart enough to realize how ridiculous it is. They're trying hard to make staggeringly stupid pop music, but the seams are far too visible for me to completely dig it.
